There's a solo game coming to backerkit that looks like it would fit the Sci fi theme, called Ion Heart from Parable Games. Not sure if they've been featured in a previous newsletter or not.
It looks really cool and there's a free demo before the campaign starts.
Just purchased Hostile SOLO, looking forward to my first playthrough.

As a Gundam fan growing up, I loved doing a solo run of CHVLR! Just queue up the Gundam Wing soundtrack and go to town!
